See how I read a positioning problem, what the evidence shows and which change I would tackle first. Private submissions stay protected.

Give an established
brand the lead.

A worked review of Gregory Shepard’s profile, using the retained original and revised captures.

Gregory’s original profile with General Partner and author in the headline
Original profile. Retained March 24, 2026 capture.
Revised profile leading with The Startup Architect and connecting Gregory’s role, book, startup experience and founder audience
Revised profile. Retained August 26, 2026 capture.

The facts were there.
The connection needed work.

The original headline names Gregory’s investing role and book. The Startup Architect is already in his name, but the reader has to connect those pieces to his work with founders.

General Partner | Author of The Startup Lifecycle

Put the identity first.
Then give it substance.

The revision leads with The Startup Architect, supports it with his role, book and experience, then names the founder audience. My contribution was copy and hierarchy; the career record and established brand are Gregory’s.

Fix the opening before
adding more material.

For a similar profile, I would first settle the opening identity and the evidence supporting it. Then check whether About and Featured develop that introduction and give the visitor a relevant next step.

The captures show a change in positioning. They do not show whether inquiries or bookings improved.

The worksheet helps you make those headline decisions. The campaign example shows a shared promise carried across a page, post and email.
